The Inspiration

After spending a small fortune on baby shower gifts, Lilypad Baby Founder and President, Kathie Papera, had the desire to give a baby gift that was special and valuable. Eight years ago, at her kitchen table, Kathie spent countless hours making baby bibs with fabrics that were stylish and unique to the baby and mom who would receive it. Through trial and error, the design became as functional as it was fashionable. After much prodding from family, and with the unwavering support of her loyal customer base (her closest friends), Lilypad Baby was born. A little inspiration went a long way. Since its beginning, Lilypad Baby products have been featured in numerous publishing’s, including Parenting, American Baby, Baby Talk, Earnshaws/Small World, Kids Today Magazine, and EPregnancy Magazine . The products are also carried from coast-to- coast in retail stores. Today, Lilypad Baby continues to deliver handmade, custom, and quality baby products from the heart with all the fashion, function, and personality of those first bibs, of course, its signature item.

Our  Philosophy:

The Lilypad Baby philosophy is to create baby products that are fun to give or own and are multi-faceted in value for our customers. We believe that babies and moms need gifts that are stylish, special and unique. Not only do we deliver fashion forward items that are different, we personalize them for a more sincere approach. We utilize the experience of mothers (a majority of us at Lilypad are), build our knowledge, and challenge our service skills to continuously provide wonderful baby products and gifts. Lilypad Baby has been a celebration of birth, family, and friends from the beginning, and the company moral reflects that. We have fun expressing the lighthearted imagination of baby, incorporating our favorite trends of today, and sharing with our community. Our attention to detail promises a product that understands the needs of mom and baby, from convenience of purchase (click and buy!), to the materials we use. Our dependable products are all created with durable, non-synthetic fabrics, made here in the USA. In sweatshop free environments, each product is pre-washed, cut, sewn, and even embroidered specifically for the adorable babies who will be using them. Of course, since the base of Kathie’s inspiration was not to spend that fortune…our promotions are inventive and frequent, and our styles always fresh and new to provide at least a handful of items at a reduced price.
